Have you ever seen a Ladybug as red as a rose? I have. If you don’t know anything about Ladybugs, well you came to the right place. I
I'm going to tell you everything about them.
They come in different colours and pattern, but the one we all know is the 7-spotted ladybug with it’s shiny diamond red and black body. We like them because they are pretty, graceful and harmless to us humans.
A ladybug has 6 legs which they use to walk around on plants. They have wings to fly around to find food. They have antennas as wiggle as a dogs tail that they use to smell and see with. A ladybug lays eggs as yellow as the sun. Nearly all the ladybugs have an oval shape body.
Farmer’s like them because they eat aphids and other plant-eating insects just like they were eating lollies. A ladybug can eat up 5,000 insects during its life, that is amazing. Did you know that not many ladybugs are female but they can lay eggs up to 10-50 eggs a day. The ladybug family is the beetle. There is nearly 2,300 ladybugs in the world.
So if you see one don’t squash it.
